About Me
Cameron Nanney
3D Artist • Designer • Developer
I’ve been working with 3D software since 2014, and am largely self-taught. Over the years, I’ve used 3D tools for artwork, animation, games, as well as architectural & mechanical design. Professionally, for the past six years I’ve worked across the games and animation industry with AAA Studios, Indie teams, and as a Solo developer.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Was this site created?
Custom-built in HTML/CSS/JS, using the Astro web Framework and Cloudflare for hosting.
I taught myself HTML purely out of spite for how much I hated using Wix.
How did you create the 3D Graphics on the home page?
I used ThreeJS to handle the scene and rendering. The movement is simply based on the cursor's screen position, rotating each object around their local origin points, while maintaining any parent/child relationships.
Custom properties for each object have been baked into a single .GLB model that drive variables such as opacity, color, rotation speed, direction, etc.
Are you open to work?
In this job market? More than likely.
While the goal will always be a full-time position, I'll still participate in the hell that is "Just one more contract"

What is the best way to contact you?
Feel free to send me an email at Cameron.nanney@gmail.com
If you distribute my contact info to bots or telemarketers, I WILL find you, and lodge a railroad spike into your sternum. thanks!
What tools & programs do you use?
The usual suspects. Blender, Substance Painter/Designer, Visual Studio/code, Photoshop, Davinci Resolve, etc.
I've given most programs a fair shot and learnt the basics of each, but I swear Maya is still living in 1998.
What Game Engines have you used?
I have a fair amount of experience in all the main engines. Unreal Engine, Unity, and Godot, as well as using some proprietary engines.
I've found that Unreal engine is overkill for any team under ~50ish people, Unity suffers from a severe lack of QoL when it's not busy killing itself off, and Godot is incredibly underrated.
Though ultimately custom-built engines will almost always give the best flexibility & performance assuming you can afford to create one.
What do you do outside of working on projects?
I don't understand.
What's your favorite color?
